Coffee Toffee Bars
INGREDIENTS
1 cup unsalted butter, softened 🧈 
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1 tsp almond extract
2 cups flour (add more for stiff dough)
1 package instant coffee powder (or 1 tbsp)
½ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips 🍫 
½ cup blanched almonds, chopped
ALMOND GLAZE INGREDIENTS
1 tbsp butter, softened 🧈 
¾ cup powdered sugar
dash of almond extract
1+ tbsp milk (to reach consistency) 🥛 
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat oven to 350º 
- Cream butter and brown sugar in large bowl 
- Combine dry ingredients in separate bowl and combine with wet 
 Note: Dough should be stiff. If too runny, add flour.
- Stir in chocolate chips and almonds 
- Press into large, greased pan (preferably 15x10”) 
- Bake 20–25 minutes, or until fully cooked 
- Add almond glaze while warm and allow to cool 
- Slice into bars.
